Our Mission

At Pension App, we’re driven by a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves to understand and control their financial future. Yet today, millions of people are disconnected from their pensions and are unsure where their savings are, how much they’re worth, or how to take meaningful action.

We built Pension App to change that.

The Problem

The national average of jobs a UK adult may have ranges from 6 - 9. The younger generation (millennials) tend to have more, ranging from 10 - 12 jobs on average. This is due to shorter tenures and frequent changes early in their careers.

Over the past 12 years, this has resulted in a growing segment of individuals with fragmented retirement savings. These savers typically fall below the minimum portfolio thresholds required by traditional financial advisers or networks, making them underserved by the advised market due to the cost inefficiency of delivering one-to-one advice at scale. Fragmented pots do not provide the full picture on how retirement may look and often provides an administrative burden. The wider problem is substantial: an estimated 3.3 million lost pension pots hold nearly £31 billion in unclaimed assets across the UK.

The introduction of auto-enrolment was a major step forward in pension savings, but it came with a new challenge. People now have multiple pension pots scattered across different employers, with little visibility or control over them. Many don’t even know how many pensions they have, let alone how to access them.

Pension App was founded in response to growing consumer demand for simple, low-cost, and transparent pension products that can be accessed and managed online without the need for financial advice. Leveraging modern technology and an intuitive user experience, Pension App enables you to locate, transfer, and manage your pensions directly, with access to a curated range of investment options.

We offer the ability to find any pensions from your previous employment(s) and combine them into a single pension which you can manage either through your online account or via an app on your phone. A modern, mobile-first pension product that helps you to find, combine, and manage your pensions, just like you manage your banking, investing, or even food deliveries.

Traditional pension providers are failing to keep up with how people live, work, and plan today. They're clunky, paper-based, and hard to reach. That's where we come in.

Michael Chandler

Managing Director

With more than a decade in the finance sector, Michael leads Pension App’s strategic direction while ensuring the highest compliance standards. Under his leadership, workflow management systems and efficient processes have been established, supporting both regulatory requirements and excellent customer outcomes. His commitment to making Pension App the best possible service for clients is at the heart of every decision, driving innovation in pension tracing and consolidation to create an experience that is accessible, engaging, and streamlined.

Throughout his career, Michael has consistently demonstrated expertise in business strategy, financial and performance management, and compliance and regulatory control. His leadership style centres on teamwork, process efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement. He is known for his approachable nature, humility in decision-making, and clear focus on growth and operational excellence.

Outside the office, Michael is an avid sports enthusiast with a passion for music. Above all, he values spending time with his wife and children.

Toni Haynes

Compliance Director

With almost 30 years of experience in financial services, Toni has built her career around helping people make sense of pensions. She began on the provider side, quickly developing a strong understanding of how pension schemes work and what makes each one unique.

In 2015, she moved into financial advice, where she discovered a passion for compliance and for supporting both advisers and clients. Her attention to detail and love of organisation made her a natural fit for the field. Now back on the provider side, Toni brings a wealth of insight and energy to Pension App, ensuring our service is built on strong compliance foundations while remaining clear and accessible for customers.

Outside of work, Toni is a mum of three and lives with three dogs and two cats. She enjoys concerts and theatre trips with her eldest daughter and has a love of travel, with a goal to see as much of the world as possible.

Marcus Cutts

Operations Manager

Marcus is an experienced financial adviser and pension consultant with a proven track record in the financial services industry. He began his career as a Pensions Adviser at Direct Wealth Management in 2020, supporting a wide range of clients with their retirement planning needs.

For the past three years, Marcus has been Operations Manager at Pension App Ltd, where he oversees staff training, quality assurance, customer service, and strategic development across pension products and fund offerings. His leadership has been central to positioning Pension App as a trusted name in pension tracing and consolidation.

Marcus combines deep technical knowledge with a client-focused approach and a strong commitment to operational excellence. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, film and television, and exploring the world of art.

Jasmine Hancock

HR / Operations Manager

Jasmine is the HR/Operations Manager at Pension App. She joined the business in May 2021 and has progressed through multiple senior roles as the organisation has grown and evolved.

Starting her career with the business as a Case Handler, Jasmine quickly progressed into leadership roles including Team Leader and Operations Manager, before moving into HR, while also assisting with Compliance. Her role now spans HR management, recruitment and training, office and operational oversight, complaints handling, audits, and risk management.

Jasmine has completed 26 HR and management courses with ACAS and plays a key role in ensuring Pension App operates in line with regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong, supportive workplace culture. She is known for her hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to both staff development and client outcomes.

Outside of work, Jasmine balances gym sessions and caring for horses with quality time with family, trying new food spots, and getting out for walks.

Sean Brennan

Senior Project Manager

Sean is a delivery and programme management specialist with 15 years of experience in technology and operational delivery across the banking and online gambling sectors. He has extensive expertise in digital transformation, agile frameworks, and driving large-scale technology and operational change. Over his career, he has led complex migrations, product delivery initiatives, and major organisational transformation within highly regulated, fast-paced environments. Having recently joined the Pension App team, he is playing a key role in establishing robust delivery practices, embedding effective planning and estimation frameworks, and shaping a clear, data-driven roadmap to support the company’s long-term growth.

Sean is known for his calm, pragmatic leadership style, his structured and methodical approach, and his ability to bring clarity and confidence to complex, fast-moving environments.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys sports, travelling, and is a keen film buff with a strong passion for music.

Danielle Hulme

Team Leader

Danielle Hulme joined Pension App in 2022 and has grown into her current role as Team Leader over the past four years through dedication, empathy, and strong leadership. She is passionate about fostering a positive team culture where colleagues feel supported, valued, and motivated to achieve their best.

Danielle takes pride in ensuring every customer’s journey is smooth, efficient, and rewarding. Her strengths include team management, customer service excellence, and process improvement, all underpinned by clear communication and a genuine understanding of people. Under her leadership, the team has consistently delivered high satisfaction scores while maintaining a strong sense of collaboration and trust.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, and listening to music, finding the perfect balance that keeps her energised and grounded.

Laura Dawson

Team Leader

Laura is a dedicated Team Leader who has grown into her role since joining Pension App in 2022. She is known for being organised, reliable, and adaptable, with a consistent focus on enhancing both the customer experience and internal processes. With experience in pension administration and team development, she ensures operational excellence while guiding her teams to deliver accurate and dependable services.

Passionate about building strong, supportive teams, Laura helps people perform at their best. She believes that clear communication, mutual respect, and trust form the foundation of success. In her role, she guides, motivates, and removes obstacles so her team can grow, perform confidently, and consistently deliver excellent results for customers.

Outside of work, Laura loves travelling and exploring new places, whether embarking on a big adventure or discovering a hidden local gem. When she’s not on the move, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, making memories, and savouring the little moments in life.
